A
Caribbean, Spiny Lobster. Unlike lobsters from the northeast including Maine,
Spiny or Caribbean Lobsters do not have claws. They do have big,
delicious tails and when you buy them by the pound, you are getting a
lot more tail meat for the money! They sure do make a fine meal!
The Caribbean spiny lobster, inhabits
tropical and subtropical waters of the Atlantic Ocean, Caribbean Sea,
and Gulf of Mexico. They are a nocturnal species and inhabit coral reefs
where it hides during the day in crevices or under ledges. St. Croix, USVI
