Day Trips and Island Hopping
During a visit to St. Croix you may
want to take the opportunity to see the island from the water or visit another close by island or two.
Buck Island is just a mile and a
half off the north coast of St. Croix. Several
charter sailing companies offer tours of the
island as well as half and full day
snorkeling tours to Buck Island. St.
Thomas and St. John are easily reached by ferry or by commuter airline for
sightseeing trips. You
can even combine a flight on a plane with a ferry to reach the British
Virgin Islands...all in one day!

Taking a Ferry
SeaTrans will
depart the St. Thomas waterfront at 9:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Friday through
Monday. The ferry will leave Gallows Bay, St. Croix, at 7:30 a.m. and 3:45
p.m. Friday through Monday. The trip takes about an hour and a half.
Round-trip tickets run $90
for adults and $80 for children. One-way tickets are $51 for adults and $45 for
children.
